nextnanomat is programmed in C#, and can thus be executed on any operating system. It is, however, developed on and optimized for Windows. On macOS, you have to either install Mono or Wine to run nextnanomat.

However we strongly recommend using Wine!

• install Wine for macOS
• open “Wine“ / “Wine stable“ from Applications
• run:

  • winetricks dotnet45    #install .net support

  • winetricks corefonts    #install basic fonts of Windows 

  • winecfg

    → select “Windows 8” in Applications → Windows Version
